KMVT Chief Meteorologist Brian Neudorff gives his opinion on what skyquakes could and could not be.

Through my own research i found someone saying, and this is the most logical one to me, that it could be sound created by extreme air pressures and flows crashing. You know how when you "mix" hot air with cold air a tornado can form? Well imagine 2 big columns of highly "fast" air clashing suddenly, we hear sound with wind alone, so this sudden event could create these type of noices. This is all a theory combined with what i read, so don't hold me to anything, cause i don't really know how wind currents work either, but if you do, please do enlighten me.

I watched a TV show back in the day (early 80s) that talked about earthquake lights. They had a map of the sightings, then they overlayed this map with a USGS map of granite outcroppings. There seemed to be a 1 to 1 correlation between where the lights were seen and where the granite was located.
Then they showed a core of granite with a lot of quartz in a hydraulic press. There was a flash of light as it collapsed. Then they showed the high speed camera view, the light followed the cracks that formed in the core. Then the light whirled around the core as it finally broke and collapsed.

It’s weird. About 2 weeks ago many people spread out all over my local area heard a scary loud booming that shook houses as far as 50 miles around. The police said there is no blasting or construction or earthquake activity... One of our newspaper writers thinks it could have been someone playing with a homemade explosive on the opposite side of the county from me... but I don’t think so. I know guns and tannerite noises because I hear them all the time where I live. It was not military or airplane either. From my household it felt like the whole air changed for a second. It felt like the space around us tried to implode... (not explode)

To be honest, I think the answer to all this skysquake is actually really caused by a grater grinding a concrete and that's what causes skyquakes.

Tectonic/siesmic activity the sound roaring now in 2025 is between 300-450hz its either a magma intrusion or a fault about to break goes for about 10mins-2 hours recently but im 100% its a very distant very shallow tectonic movement like 5km not a geologist be i know my shit and im extremely observant started to pick up after solar eclipse 2024

We had one last night sounded and felt like 6 bombs going off it shook my whole house it was the loudest thing I have ever heard.. Sonic booms for sure.
