Travel can be a verb or a noun. As a verb goes with "To" or "Around"
Travel to London (one place)
Travel around Asia (multiple places within an area)
It's uncountable noun and sometimes, it can be used as plural noun.
She did not enjoy her foreign travel because of bad weather.
He traveled around Africa on business.
Let's travel to Canada!
You have to travel abroad a lot.
You met all kinds of people on your travels.

I climbed at the very top of the Tagore hill for seeking advanture.

My friend took a long journey to America.
