$300 movement in $10k+ watches is what tells me Hublot can f right off. The screw thing where they're not aligned is also really aesthetically unpleasant

Part of that is is AP screws are not really screws, the screws are on the back. The front are just bolts.

The screws on the AP are not real screws they are nuts. The bezel is screwed in from the back of the case so they can be aligned before screwing it in. As for the Hublot they are the actual screws that hold the bezel in so they are way harder or even impossible to allign. Not saying Hublot are good wartches just stating that that comparrison is not really good.

Cartier Santos for example also does not line up the srews. i personally like it - makes it look more industrial

My first luxury watch was a hublot. Their customer service is fucking phenomenal, didn't matter if it was my home boutique or a random boutique. Even if i made it super clear i wasn't buying the reps were always wildly accomodating. They would lock the store so no one else would come in while i shopped. We would chat shoot the shit very down to earth. 10/10 customer service. The watches are questionable for sure, highly unlikely i would buy one again just because the value proposition isn't good. By contrast, my current daily driver is an audemar 15400. AP's customer service is terrible, they are doing you a favor by talking to you, a favor by servicing your piece. Terrible and consistently terrible even if I absolutely love the watch. An aside, rolex is hit or miss, some AD's are super personable some are tired of window shoppers. Regardless saying hublot has bad CS is just wrong.

I agree with you on all points. But the screws part is incorrect IMO.
the screws in Hublot are functional, unlike AP.

The Royal Oak doesn’t have “aligned screws” they are bolts that fit in to sockets.

All the people talking and none of them have owned or felt a hublot watch.
It’s a modified movement and even if the base cost is 300 dollars it’s modified to a level which I’m really impressed with. I only have great things to say really and would love another classic fusion

Plenty of ADs for various brands don’t allow videos. Mainly for asset security. As well as to keep the serial numbers private. Last thing you want is to buy a watch and find out the SN has been used on a fake.

Hublot would be a fine watch at the 2-5k price point, but they start at like 10k so that’s why they suck.

Whether they're good watches or not, if you're spending 10-20k on a watch, why you arent buying an Rolex, Omega or similar etc is beyond me

I will say a big band is 15-20k a Royal Oak is like 40k just keep that in mind 2 different price points

the AP screw aren't aligned those are not reals screw but different ones which are fitted into the polyedged wholes on the front of the watch. The actual screw are on the backside of the watch.
