Its a shame that Chris Sale won't pitch enough innings to win the CY, he was far and away the most dominant pitcher in the AL when he was on the field.

Chris Sale
1.96 FIP
2.29 SIERA
0.84 WHIP
32.6% K-BB

Justin Verlander
2.93 FIP
2.72 SIERA
0.93 WHIP
29.4% K-BB

Blake Snell
3.06 FIP
3.36 SIERA
0.97 WHIP
21.7% K-BB

Corey Kluber
3.23 FIP
3.26 SIERA
0.98 WHIP
22% K-BB

Its pretty clear that Verlander had the most dominant year if you exclude Sale. Which is cool, for Verlander. Anyone that can read fangraphs knows he got Shafted in 2016. Porcello pretty much "won" that because of the team stat, Wins.

I think his era and win record is close to the cy young nominees. But his strikeout total is so far ahead he’s the clear front runner so far.

kinda shocking that this guy is that good but the one game he couldn't pitch at all in was game 1 of the 2012 world series
