My boy Ohtani should absolutely win ROY. He's lived up to the absurd amount of hype before the season began and more. It's too bad he got injured but even then, he's still belting out homers like its nothing. What a talent

I know that everyone is all about Andujar being ROY but Ohtani deserves it so much more in my opinion. When you have a guy that can be a starting pitcher and an effective DH that hits dingers that’s amazing. I think that Andujar and Torres are gonna fall short because of the lack of efficient defense. I’m rooting for you Ohtani! Keep kicking butt!!

One of the reasons he was often injured was that his growth hadn't stopped yet (Especially knees). I am happy that he is finally able to stay healthy in 2021.

Shohei should win Rookie of the Year for sure. Anytime you are doing something no one has done since Babe Ruth deserves the award

Easily MVP if he was pitching too (even if it was a 10 win 10 lost)! Such a beast!

Ohtani is real fun to watch and glad to see his success in MLB too. I think he deserves the ROY.

But I have to say that the way the Angels are handling his elbow situation is very disappointing. The team and himself knows he needs the surgery to pitch in the future. They aren't going to the postseason so the games are almost meaningless & the ABs he's taking isn't doing his elbow any good. He's too valuable to risk even more stress on that elbow. He should've been pulled from the season to get him the treatment and rest he needs. Pujols gets pulled for the season to get elbow surgery (although less severe) but not Ohtani? Ohtani is way more valuable that Pujols IMO. If they don't plan to pitch him in the future, get him that surgery and stick him in right field like he played with the Fighters.

If he didn't hurt his elbow and kept up how well he was pitching the whole year he very well could've been MVP and ROY. Should definitely still win ROY tho.

That triple at the end could've been an inside-the-parker tbh
