Blinken says 'path forward is through diplomacy not conflict' | Middle East

The US secretary of state, Anthony Blinken, has made it clear that the path forward in resolving the tensions in the Middle East is through "diplomacy not conflict".

He was speaking during a news conference on the side-lines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

It comes as Israel launched multiple strikes on the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
