Third American arrested in Turks and Caicos for allegedly having ammunition

A third American tourist has been arrested in Turks and Caicos for allegedly bringing ammunition to the island. The Virginia man is facing up to twelve years in prison after officials at a security checkpoint found two bullets in his suitcase.

You can't do whatever you want in other countries. Why wouldn't you thoroughly check your luggage before you leave to another country if you know that you normally carry ammunition in that bag, to make sure you don't have ammunition in it?

So now they are blaming US TSA. How ridiculous. Yes US TSA should have caught that but it’s also the responsibility of the travelers to check their own luggage. I don’t feel sorry for them one bit. And the fact that he’s a first responder well that makes it even worse because he should know better.
