Cynical Publiusss gets it exactly correct. It's at least 1, 000 times worse than never serving; he betrayed and abandoned his men. And this was a combat arms, artillery unit. If you haven't served I don't expect you to understand the intensity of feeling. Welch sounds weak when he says it makes him uncomfortable.

I’m a vet who served in Iraq and I’ll criticize this coward all day long. He played soldier for 24 years then bailed when it was time to actually be one. He could have run for office after returning from Iraq. Wouldn’t that have made him an even more viable candidate? Walz himself thinks it would have since he ran on being a war vet anyway. We all know why he cut and run.

35:21 absolutely NOT! In fact, MY Dad was locked in a nursing home, confused, by himself, dying, not knowing why we couldn’t go see him for months. It infuriates me to even say that this creep is like our Dads - MY Dad honorably served in the Military, in war (twice! Viet Nam and the Middle East), and died alone in an awful locked-down nursing home. There were five people at the funeral home (one clergy, my Mom, one of my sisters, me, and the funeral home director) and only two additional people outside at national cemetery. There were more people in the honor guard who folded his flag and played taps than were able to be there to mourn his passing because of the situation. Tim Waltz is NOT MY dad nor does he even ACT like my Dad. I reject that statement with all my soul.

My family has served going way back. My Dad served and my son served 8 years in the USAF. He's also a firefighter. Stolen Valor is not right. These people are so dishonest!
