Hi Marianne, I’ve been listening to you for about half a year now. I’ve commented a bunch on your channel. I like to use your YouTube videos as kind of a diary.

6 months ago i listened one of your songs for the first time. “Northern attitude”. I believe that song and your music in general changed me. I’ve been a different person, it’s like I found who I am now.
I’ve been in EMT school for a few months and I just got done with my finals and scenario tests. While I was doing clinicals we had an alleged heart attack patient. This was one of my first patients. She was terrified, shaking, she was anxious. She was scared for her life and so was I.
Towards the end of the ride to the ambulance she lifted up the nonrebreather mask we put on her face, she then asked me “why? Why would you choose to do such a scary job?” I was wearing a red “EMT intern” shirt on so she knew I was in school and not yet employed.
I kind of just stared at her blankly, because now I was wondering why would I willingly choose to do such a terrifying thing for the rest of my life. Before I even got a chance to answer we had arrived at the hospital and brought her into one of the rooms.

I think one of the reasons why I chose to go down this career path is because of you. Yes of course I chose to do all this, and I absolutely love what I’m doing now, but I believe finding you is what sparked the idea of me getting into it all. It’s like your music gave me a a completely different look at what life is. There’s so much hate in this world, so much violence, so much death, but it all goes away when I hear your music. I guess I want to have the same effect on my patients. I want someone to go from there worst day of there life, to smiling and possibly having a spark of hope and peace again.
I hope that made sense.
Thanks Marianne. Keep doing what your doing because your saving more lives than you think.
