What's going on Initiate, Bird here and in this video we are going over one of the biggest factions in all of Fallout, the New California Republic and their conflict with the Enclave!

The NCR was tested in the 2160s by the re-emergence of the Enclave, who began abducting or massacring wasteland settlements with the plan of unleashing an FEV variant that would wipe out the entire surface population of the wasteland so that they could re-inherit the mainland US. These plans were ended when the Chosen One destroyed the Enclave's main base of operations, an oil rig known as Control Station Enclave.

The New California Republic allied with the Brotherhood of Steel against the Enclave, with the most climactic confrontation being the sacking of Navarro, where the two forces overwhelmed the Enclave garrison at Navarro. The Enclave remnants were driven east, where they would rebase at Raven Rock in the Capital Wasteland, while those left behind were forced to integrate and hide their identities as anyone affiliated with the Enclave was branded a war criminal. The NCR salvaged several technologies from the Enclave including at least one Vertibird for the use of the President. A device from Navarro would also inadvertently cause the destruction of the Divide as it passed through the region, setting off several dormant nuclear missile silos.

Two corrections:

- Fallout 2 plot happens in 2241;

- The attack of Navarro gave to the NCR not only one ventibird but actually several ventibirds, since the NCR has (or had) an airforce, accordly to one dialogue option of New Vegas, when you question the former Enclave pilot if she was a NCR pilot, since she said that she loved to fly but don't reveal that she was an Enclave pilot before Arcade's quest

The group that went east actually left before the sacking of Navarro. In Fallout 3 you can find computer docs that talk about how they don't know what happened to the Navarro base. New Vegas Canonized that it was destroyed

It's enough to make anyone affiliated with the enclave a war criminal with their past actions almost feel bad for the stragglers but just one really poor arcade.

I wish they’d make Fallout Chicago and there’s a war as the once annexed people of Canada are seeking resources through an invasion, and have the enclave return, but as a chaotic good faction 😭

I always find it funny and comedic the Enclave became comically evil when they could've become a force of good with all the power and quasi legitimacy they had, as partial continuation of the US government ... or a shadowy force in it anyway, going as far as to have presidents still.

You know you did a bad job if in lore and out of lore more people cheer on a rebuilt state made from wasteland survivors and vault dwellers - the NCR - rather than the comically evil guys (no offense Enclave fans but I think the NCR got at least a bit more of fanbase support :D)
