Joey, i had this happen to me in my gym. Mediocre guy made a video of himself posing and i was in the background deadlifting. Another friend told me about it, and i went to look at it, the comments about me were pretty disheartening. "Steroid freak", "looks like he shit himself", when i wasnt even the subject of the video. I talked to the guy the next day at the gym, and not so nicely told him to take it down, which he did. These people dont realize the damage they could do to a person with these stupid videos they post.

The only time I met a social media filmer, they asked the staff if it was it cool to set up cameras in a certain corner and made sure to set the camera so they were not filming anyone but themselves. They did what they were doing on camera to be silly....then they bagged it up and did a normal workout. Was the only time I ever saw them, but to me that was the most respectful way to go about filming.

You're always right Joey, but unfortunately this is a bigger issue than maybe even you can solve. This idiotic video had over 320k likes! This isn't just a few narcissists recording themselves in the gym, it's an entire generation supporting this behavior. One Joey Swoll isn't nearly enough. We need an army of Joeys! It's not enough to be that person in the background glaring at them anymore. We need to say something then and there! Stand up and tell them this is not ok. Channel your inner Joey!
