Who is God? Beyond Time and Need

Who is God? He is beyond time, beyond need, beyond human comprehension. He has no beginning and no end—perfect, self-sufficient, and uncreated.

Early Christian thinkers described Him as the One who gives life to all yet needs nothing in return. As Irenaeus said, "He bestows benefits upon those who serve Him, but He Himself does not receive any benefit from them, for He is rich, perfect, and in need of nothing."
