Following from the official PS5 Pro reveal with Mark Cerny, some VERY interesting info has leaked on the Playstation 5 Pro's hardware specs - specifically that it is looking more and more likely that some of the tech we see implemented on the PS5 Pro will find it's home in the next gen AMD Radeon RDNA 4 GPUs. Its refreshing hearing sth positive about the Pro lol. Its ok to be unhappy with the price or claim that the upgrade isnt enough. Despite the fact that 30 to 60 will always be worth it. But its still unclear which games will actually be 60 in the end. There will always be compromises when you have such s strict budget like consoles have. Anyways. People in the YT comments are totally overreacting lol. Acting as if 500-600€ was anywhere near a reasonable price and that this is a scam. Its the same with the Pixel phones. People are mad cause a company doesn’t undersell their product anymore. Its actually even worse since consoles arent hella cheap to produce like phones are in comparison 🤦

It was so hard and difficult to secure my OG PS5, I tried for months to secure a console. It was so frustrating, to say the least. I almost gave up until I signed up for the Play Store random lottery. Literally less than a month after signing up, I was so grateful to get an email from Sony that I won the PS store lottery, I paid the original MSRP price and was ecstatic, to say the least. I am 35 years old, and I've been an OG gamer for 30+ years. Sony became my favorite console company since the ps1. Mind you, I grew up on nintendo, so when the PS1 came out, it was absolutely game-changing. PS2 is hands down the best console EVER!!! PS3 was a shit show, $600 bucks MSRP, and little to no games, but eventually, it played its part. The PS4 was a major step up, and the PS4 Pro was a vast improvement on the original console, I jumped at the chance to upgrade to a PS4 Pro upon launch. Gamestop even had a promo. If you traded in your old PS4 console, you got $250 store credit for the PS4 Pro. I think it was $499 upon launch, and honestly, it was a huge upgrade from the original console. I say all that to say this, I was in the demographic of gamers looking forward to a PS5 Pro and interested in making that purchase/upgrade. However, this new model doesn't feel like an upgrade at all. I currently own the OG ps5 disk drive model, year 1-2 production. This new pro model doesn't offer anything worthwhile for me to feel any incentive to upgrade to. Instead of getting the core Sony fan boys hyped, they have essentially tarnished their brand image across the board with the entire gaming community as a whole. I wouldn't mind paying $700 bucks for an Elite Ps5 pro, that is, leaps and bounds above and beyond the technical capabilities of the original console, but this new model is anything but that, its like a slap in the face to the demographic of gamers interested in the first place. The PS4 pro only accounted for less than 15% of all sales worldwide. it's a very niche market, but the PS4 Pro was a vast improvement from the original console. This PS5 pro seems like a complete scam and rip-off. It doesn't offer anything substantial to justify spending $700+ dollars on, especially if you already own a PS5. This is a huge marketing blunder on Sony, not to mention the debacle with Concord, $200 plus million dollars spent on an exclusive title, that launched dead on arrival. It's really not that hard, guys. Gamers are nostalgic, Sony has an enormous library of games they can resurrect and bring back to life, to earn massive profits, instead of launching this console which isn't going to sell, and is essentially going to hurt their stock price/shareholders/ and reputation globally above all.

PS5 Pro doesn't even guarantee 60fps for Pro Enhanced games, I rather stick to PC where 60-120fps games are the norm.

The PS4 Pro was a significant upgrade over the base PS4 and it cost the same as a launch PS4. It also took sony less than 3 years to release instead of 4. And it came with a disc drive. Sony really dropped the ball with the PS5 Pro. You're honestly better off waiting for the PS6 if you already have a PS5.

It was supposedly leaked a ps5 Vs ps5 pro from some dev and in one game the ps5 had mid/high graphics at 30 fps while the pro had max graphics at 60, and that's without the PSSR, so if that leak is true then in all in on the ps5 pro.

Did the same thing when PS4 Pro came out. Sold that when the PS5 came out for $350. Will do the same when the PS6 comes out.

I still haven't even heard anything conclusive about what node the PS5 Pro's chip is being fabricated on. Some people think it's just going to be a very big chip on 6nm while others believe that they've surely dropped it down to 4nm so that the cooler didn't need to be much larger to compensate for the larger die size. To me, the latter seems more likely at this point given the price point of the system as well as the fact that AMD is already making RDNA3 and RDNA3.5 chips on 4nm currently. However, given that it seems to use the same power plug as the PS5 it doesn't seem like they've greatly increased the overall energy consumption of the system so if it is on 4nm I would expect it to likely pull the same power as the OG PS5.
