How to Create a Custom Debian or Ubuntu ISO

In this video I am going to show you how easy it is to create your own custom Debian or Ubuntu ISO.

You might want to do this to have greater control over your ISO or make a custom ISO that has all the software that you want already to go.

(Side note. I know at the end of the video there is a an error thrown. Davinci resolve had a moment with me and caused an issue at the end that does not effect the video as a whole.)

I can definitely see how this is a mayor advantage if you're having to manage a large amount of computers with possibly all kinds of different hardware configurations but you insist on having a similar software configuration everywhere. I seemed to have missed where you set the locale, timezone, and whatever else I would want to standardize and make easy and fast. And maybe where you would add you own software packages that could be self-developed or otherwise unpopular and not included.

Nicely made video with clear narration but you didnt actually do much customisation, you just changed the default install options which skims the power of Cubic. At least you should have added Neofetch or something and then showed your "new" ISO preinstalls Neofetch etc. Have you tried DistroShare's Ubuntu Imager?

Hello i wanna ask, i already made the os iso file but when i use it in virtualbox again it says error invalid magic number and error load kernel first, how can i solve this problem ?
What ive done in the virtual environment is just changing the background etc

are you able to update the kernel version that runs in live using this method? Nevermind, it doesnt look like it lets you. Also, I cant seem to run X11 appliications while in their chroot environment. I tried exporting the display and setting xhost + to no avail. Can anyone give me a hint?
EDIT: Nevermind again. I was able to simply chroot into the custom-root diirectory and run X11 apps while the chroot window created by the app was still running. Works great! Thanks for the video.
Unfortunately it doesnt seem to let you mount the usb drive after booting from it, even when booting toram, which makes it worthless to me.

Running Ubuntu 23.10 on a 256 sd card on a Raspberry pi 5. Is it possible to create an iso from a working copy?. I can create an iso but it comes out the same size as the sd and can only be installed on the same size card.

im struggling so much to install Debian in another partition on mac.
i couldn't even install them on virtual machine because of errors i don't understand why they occur .
i downloaded Debian from Diskparalell and i wanna make an iso from it. i get error when i do update.
can you please suggest a simple program or a tutorial (using debian)?

Can it make the terminal just as obsolete, as on Windows, MacOS, and yes, Android 😮?
