Drive to boost recycling and reuse rates at Hampshire's Household Waste Recycling Centres

There's a new drive to boost recycling and reuse at our Household Waste Recycling Centres 🤝🌍 We’re asking residents to help by separating their recyclable items like paper, metal or garden waste – instead of a throwing a single bag of mixed items into containers with waste that won’t be recycled.
Taking a few moments to pre-sort your recyclables before you visit will mean more stuff can be reused or recycled, and reduce the amount of material that goes to costly disposal methods such as landfill.
Most HWRCs in Hampshire will be able to recycle the following materials:
• Garden and green waste
• Metals
• Wood
• Cardboard
• Electrical equipment and appliances
• Batteries, printer cartridges, and light bulbs
• Furniture
• Clothing and textiles
• Paints, chemicals, engine oil and gas bottles

It all sounds very good. But when you say your'e "going to explain how we can do it" - you don't. You tell us the staff will tell us how to do do it when we arrive - which means this video is a bit pointless - other than warning us our waste will be searched at the recycling center. Wouldn't it be better to have a video (or a series of videos on different kinds of waste) explaining how you want us to seperate our waste before we arrive?

I must not visit the recycling ♻️ centre anymore is because it feels dangerous to me that I’m a bloody vulnerable person 🧍‍♀️ that I have to go by vehicle 🚗 if it happens again so I’ve withdrawn doing my visits there. 👍
