How to Split Zip and merge a file.

On this short video you will see how to Split Zip a file and how to merge the Split Zip file extract it back.

Split Zip files are mostly split in order to send a large file by email when the email client limits the size of file to be sent. The segments of the Split Zip file can then be emailed to the recipient in small enough segments on the corresponding number of emails.

The recipient then needs to collate all segments in the SAME archive/folder in order to merge the Split Zip file again!!

Another way of sending big files is of course to use web based site dedicated to sending large files, of which there are many. Some good and able to send up 100MB file free and others NOT so good!

Sorry I don’t use remote control of pc’s not save, especially when you don’t know me and I don’t know you!!!
When a file is split into segments, the segments (.z01, .z02 and so on) all these segements MUST be saved to the same directory and folder. Once all the splits/segments, are together, then you need to unzip them. This is done on the file with the zip icon! And saved/extracted to your desired directory.
