I worked with both. From my point of view, Jira for heavy enterprise projects, YouTrack for startups or short-term projects. Both are good.

I like time tracking tools. They really help with workflow and burnout for some people who struggle with pacing and time management. I love the jump cuts and angle changes! Before this I’ve never known much at all about Clockify or Jira.

I am using jira in my agancy work and youtrack for all my other projects. And for me youtrack is the easier to use tool especially because of its perfect integration with the IDE I use.

Jira is a waste of time for medium level organisations now that Atlassian are moving all their products to cloud and will no longer issue server licences. Pricing to use their cloud based data centre service will be 42, 000 USD for between 1 and 500 users, and half that for existing users. A lot of organisations are considering moving away from Atlassian because of this.

I have seen some demos of Jira but never from YouTrack. And I'm the type of person who does does look at how it looks🙈 and YouTrack definitely looks better and more user friendly to me😊
