► Description: This talk will present an open-source solution called MiCADO, which is developed within the scope of a European commission research project called COLA – Cloud Orchestration at the Level of Application. MiCADO, built on top of Kubernetes, is a multi-cloud orchestration and auto-scaling framework, which dynamically deploy and manage the life-cycle of docker containers. This talk will cover, how docker containers are used by MiCADO for cloud-based applications. Furthermore, we will also present two extensions of MiCADO. Firstly, where MiCADO take on simultaneous management of docker containers across cloud-to-edge systems, and secondly, automatic management of container-based batch processing-based applications.
