Haig clearly went on to another career after being in the middle of the BeBop revolution. Many old songs have such pretty harmonies. the Modal Jazz movement kind of passed by that, unfortunately. The Cocktail Piano Bars kept the beauty going. Somebody said, "Lester ain't never going' out of style." This playing is pretty close to Bill Evans!! Haig uses a lot of Rubato, as did Evans. Did Evans' ever cite Haig as an influence??
