Google Pixel Tablet Review

It's been several years since Google has released a real Android tablet and this time they are coming at it with a twist, a spker/charging base that turns it into a in home info hub. You of course can also raw on this tablet and it's USI 2.0 stylus compatible so I have to test that out too.

This tablet feels like they are dipping their toe in the water before committing more resources to a higher end tablet to compete with the iPad Pro. At least I hope so.🤞🏻

Great video! I was really curious about what drawing on this was like, since Google didn't really advertise the stylus support as a feature. Could you also consider checking out the Mi Pad 6 and what their second generation stylus is like? They've made quite a few claims like having a 150 hour battery on the stylus etc etc., but I'm yet to see a good review video on it from a drawing and creative use perspective. Thanks!

I used to love that "soft and warm" texture on many gadgets but now I know that the polymers break down over a few years and it becomes a sticky mess.

As far as the speaker stepping up or down. Keep in mind this was really designed to work within the Google home framework. If you have that running you can set the home speaker volume to your preference. I imagine without it, it would default to the system. I would be curious if someone could verify this though. As I'm only theorizing.

I've been waiting to hear your perspective on this tablet. I use that pen to draw on my high-end Chromebook and it sounds like it performs exactly the same on both. I'm used to it because it's all I know, so the lag wouldn't bother me. My house is also full of google smart home stuff so I may have to pull the trigger.

I think Google could be really successful if they managed to make a decent tablet targeted towards beginner digital artists, at a decent price point that's mid range or more of a low range price point. I myself am wanting to get into drawing on a tablet but I am put off because of the price and that I also have a bunch of paper that I feel like would go to waste if I buy a tablet, but mainly it's the price of getting a decent tablet to draw with while being in my price range.

You are always drawing some interesting pictures. What are you drawing them for? They remind me of randomness from DnD campaigns.

It's always good to have more competition. In this case it's still a good tablet with lots of ram (something a lot of vendors skimp on and a lot of android users fail to realize they actually need a fair bit of. 4gb just will not cut it today outside of light use). Little sad to see the shoe stringing on those lines though. But to me that's better than wobble. I'd rather clean up the ends than the whole line.
