I'm impressed they recovered as much as they did

I'm surprised those are in such big pieces considering how catastrophic and violent the implosion was described.

It's a miracle that there's even anything left of any of the crew members for them to "presumably" find. The way it was explained they should've all been vaporized in a fraction of a second.

I think just looking at the debris tells you what probably happened. It looks like the window didn’t break so I’m guessing the carbon fiber hull shattered instantly.

Safety Triangle: For every near miss and close calls reported or not, your odds of a serious injury or death are against you.

This gave me chills just watching them bring the pieces onto the ship. Just like when they were doing the same when both space shuttles exploded. It’s not worth your life to go see the Titanic. Now we have more remains adding to that tragedy. 💜💔✝️😢

The Titanium components and any external equipment would have survived relatively intact. The carbon fiber cylinder and anything inside being hit with the Mach 2 water are what would have been the most severely damaged during the implosion, with the severity of the damage being largely dependent on whether the cylinder was the point of failure or the viewport

All the news has been saying how there is no good way to get the remains off the bottom and if it could even be done. All this talk of the recovery equipment doesn't exist and it would probably take months to recover if at all. Then all of a sudden they have the pieces up? Also how there being human remains would be highly unlikely because they would have been liquefied by the pressure crushing the Titan. This is kinda suspect, no?

James Cameron said unfortunately the men were aware of what was happening. From the Crack sensor on board and the fact they dropped their weights immediately. So they saw death in the eye even if brief. They tried to rise but was too late, that has to be terrifying beyond words. Rest In Peace 🙏

I have a really sophisticated joke about the Titan sub, but I'm not going to tell it. It's too deep.

I see that the porthole is missing from the end cap. I'm wondering if it was removed from the piece to give them a way to hoist it, or if it was already gone on the sea floor. It seems like a strange decision to remove it, since I'm sure they'd want to investigate the integrity of that porthole. I'm also noticing the complete lack of anything that looks like carbon fiber.

How the hell did they get all that up from the sea floor!?

The entire sub didn’t implode into a black hole guys, the pressurized weak carbon hull that the people were sitting inside of did, crushing everyone inside to mush while everything else that was more sturdy just deformed or fell off

After watching some of the launching videos, these people risked their lives going down in something that was like a pill... two pieces, that once they entered it, were closed in with latches in the middle. The pressure popped that pill right open! My condolences are with the families. Wisdom and discernment were not used by those who boarded this death trap. No other submersible, to my knowledge, is made this way for the very reason of safety from implosion, so what made these men think that this was safe? It makes absolutely no sense to me this whole situation!!

When they say the hull was made out of carbon fiber I was like wait a minute carbon fiber is used for racecars not for submarines SMH

Looks like there are parts of the sub still intact. I was under the impression that it was obliterated into many parts almost unrecoverable.

Someone is going to make a movie on this one.

It doen't look like it imploded into a million pieces as they said it would. They also said no way there would be human remains. Wrong again.

Good that the CEO was on board. Normally, they just sit in their mansions and say: 'oops, we miscalculated. I hope the stock doesn't go down too much' (looking at you Boeing).

From the look of the debris, it was the inner passenger space that got imploded inwards as the center point of implosion. The pressure inside the space was way too light of using carbon fiber. But I believe the crew knew at the last minute and did feel pressure tightening up for a few seconds before initial burst. Very haunting of the images of the debris being lifted out of water, especially the electric compartment.
