It feels so good to know that Bonney eventually received all those letters via Kuma's memory

Let it sink in that Bonney's first victory as a 10 year old child was one hitting a CP8 agent.

The panel with Bonney crying telling her dad that she's nine now and lamenting that he promised he'd write her was like a knife through the heart.

I like the implications that Dragon has been watching Luffy probably since the beginning. His flashback is one I'm looking forward to a lot.

The funny thing is, if they just chose to not be monumental assholes and allow Bonny to see those letters, she probably wouldn't have tried and succeeded to escape like that.

"A pirate, eh. Fine by me." will forever be one of my favorite lines in the story. I will forever respect dragon for this line and for being there to help Luffy and see him off at Lougetown.

Basically Bonnie’s ability is straight up Everywhere, Anywhere, All at Once when it comes to abilities. Or rather just straight up Time Manipulation in all realities.

I can't wait for the moment when Bonney finally sees Luffy in his Nika form.
Somehow she is always away when Luffy is in gear 5. It will be so satisfying when Bonney finally meets the person that her Dad idolized so much.

Kuma knows that Nika has properties of rubber. So when he met luffy with those rubbery powers, he probably already know that he's the sun god.

"A child is a parents weakness"
Dragon saying this to Kuma has a very special meaning.
Since this is how Kuma ended up giving everything he had, including his humanity.

I'd watch Bonney Piece. It would have an opening where instead of Gol D. Roger's last words we get Kuma's promise to travel the world and stuff.

You know what, that’s why by the time the world knew about Luffy, Luffy was FULLY able to handle himself so the reveal wasn’t much of a big deal to Dragon

That part where Kuma keeps writing letters even after losing his individuality would be very interesting, the final letter would just be the word "Bonney".

Luffy usually wears his vest buttoned up pre time skip. We didn’t see Luffy’s muscles till his clothes were burnt during little garden

When Luffy said his 'Battle Axe" move was gonna prevent strong enemies from taking his crew away, while Kuma was watching him. Oh the irony.

It's amazing how Bonney went from pretty much the least popular supernova the the top 1 new strawhat candidate

Not only is Bonnie getting all these memories of Kuma, she’s most likely getting all the letters as well. No wonder she was crying the whole time 😭 Kuma rose the ranks as one of the most loved characters for me by far

Dragon’s comment about children being a parent’s weakness makes complete sense. It’s always been clear that Dragon cares about Luffy. Why do you think his first spoken line is “A pirate, eh? Not a bad idea”? Dragon is sacrificing everything he cares about for the safety of the world. That’s what makes him so interesting and why I want his backstory. It was great to see Stussy and Stella talking and to see more of who Stussy really is. Also, Alpha can go to hell! That scene with Kuma, Stella, and Stussy talking about writing Bonney nearly made me cry. And I’m not a crier. I like Bonney saying "Give me a future". I would love it if from here on Distorted Future had sub-names like "Distorted Future: Buccaneer" or "Distorted Future: Nika”. Prediction: Bonney is going to tell Luffy the true name of his devil fruit because she knows about the rubbery body. I don’t know if this is a Hot Take or not because I love this backstory and Kuma is now my second favorite One Piece character but I’m ready to get back to the main story.

Between Bonny’s “Nika-ish” form and Luffy’s “muscle muscle” form when he’s in Gear 5, I think it’s safe to assume that the original Joy Boy was indeed a Buccaneer.

Dragon was very clever in setting things up so that Luffy wouldn't be a hostage against him. He "abandoned" Luffy and made it so he was "the grandson of Garp the Hero" and not "the son of Dragon". The WG would have a hard time being seen as in the "right" without buster calling the entire Island away to eliminate eye witnesses of the assassination of a kid who is a relative of the world's "HERO".
