Well, rebirth island was actually mentioned a little while back, in 2010(black ops 1) in the campaign, Fredrich Steiner was on rebirth island but the design of rebirth island wasn't exactly like the design of warzone rebirth idk if it really matters tho

Rebirth island in bo1 is the real one but since then they changed it to Alcatraz island, this one is hole different from what we have got in bo1 that was an island near Russia but now it’s something else

Verdansk 84 didn’t release with Rebirth, it came after Rebirth in April 2021. Rebirth came in December 2020

A reminder that the reason why Rebirth Island is basically Alcatraz with a Russian coat of paint is mainly because the Devs wanted to go to Aral Sea and take reference images of the actual Rebirth Island, but weren't able to because both Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan (the 2 countries where the Aral Sea (and by extension, Rebirth Island) were located in) closed off their borders in 2020 due to certain events. (As with the rest of the world)

I remember when rebirth dropped for Warzone One and being disappointed that it was not based of the campaign mission but Alcatraz island instead (even though I did and still do love that location)
