Subject: Proposal: Investing in .NET Web Development Training

Hey [Boss's First Name],

I hope this message finds you well. I recently stumbled upon the .NET Web Academy, an online course that delves deep into .NET web development. Having gone through what's on offer, I genuinely believe it's a goldmine for someone in my position.

Here's why I think it's worth considering:

Full Package: The course covers everything from the basics of a .NET Web API to advanced features like Blazor WebAssembly and the Identity Framework. It's like a one-stop shop for all things .NET web development.

Real-world Application: It's hands-on! We'd be building a complete Time Tracking application from scratch. This could improve our internal projects and even speed up our development process.

Post-Course Support: Apart from the tutorials, there's a vibrant community where students (like me) can ask questions, discuss, and even collaborate. It's like continuous learning even after the course ends.

Certificate of Completion: Finishing the course awards a digital certificate, which not only boosts my professional growth but also adds value to our team's credentials.

Potential ROI: With the skills I'd gain, I believe I can contribute more efficiently to our projects, possibly reducing the time we spend troubleshooting or leaning on external resources.

There's a catch though - enrollment is open for just two weeks. So, time is of the essence.

I'm really keen on this and was wondering if [Company Name] might consider covering the cost as part of our professional development? I'm convinced it's an investment that would pay off in spades.

Would love to hear your thoughts. And if there's any more information you need, just let me know!

Thanks for considering!

Best,
[Your Name]

@PatricGod, it will be fantastic to see an update for this video with the latest .net 8 or .net 9 templates. Thanks!

.NET 8 has made a lot of improvements including a feature I consider to be a potential call to retire mighty razor pages, SSR and SSR+ (stream rendering). Strong component model and streaming rendering are the key features we all wanted on top of Razor pages MVC. All the other features of blazor in the last few years are just adding to the stack, including SignalR and Wasm

Great stuff as always! It would be interesting to see an implementation of MudBlazor with the new Blazor 8 Web Template.

The next default blazor template according to Chris is going to be just Blazor Web App, which basically is an improved razor pages/MVC, and component focused.

I am really struggling with the 57 varieties of Visual Studio. I did have Blazor Server and Web Assembly solutions working but they have gradually died as new versions of VS come out. I have uninstalled everything I can find and started again with a new VS2022 pre and .NET 8 RC. When I create a new Blazor Web App with interactive Wasm and Interactive Server, it says "not available in this source when I look in NUGET. I get similar problems with every other kind of Blazor project I try to create. Always different things missing.
