I am an Aussie born to Greek parents. My wife is Hungarian. The first year I visited Hungary was in 2006. I instantly fell in love with Hungary. The people, the culture, the food, and the architectural beauty of Hungary 🇭🇺 in particular Budapest ❤. Since 2006 we have returned to Hungary every few years. I surprise Hungarians when I tell them that I could move and live in Hungary permanently. To me it really is that beautiful and really feels like home 🏡

Cold winters have already eased in the last 10 years. We can say that it hasn't snowed in 10 years. Or if it does, it melts the next day. However, the summers are very hot and getting hotter.

hungary is not just budapest. in the rural areas the public transportation can be very underdveloped. i know examples where a 30km trip to the nearest town's hospital (visiting someone) and back takes and entire day.

P.S. Thanks to @leslietoth7969 ...it's actually right...due to the fact that we on the west side of Carpatians is a strange phenomenon that the winters are mild, not freezing, and don't last very much..We will be happy in 2024 if we get snow in December/Christmas...also climate change but you figure it out...but on the other hand summers are cruel up to 40 degrees Celsius. but we can handle it...especially in Hungary...in the Balaton...or Romania...The Black Sea...or even in my small city of Arad...there is a lake named "GHIOROC" which we call the Mamaia of the west(of Romania)....by t June, July, August is perfect...especially who knows how to swim....is a pleasure to just dive in and experience best massage ever/ thaiquando underwater...just thoughts

I'm Hungarian /Romanian but this was too summary...and yeah @pongesz2000 I agree with him Hungary is not at all about Budapest and of course, Budapest is kind of the most expensive in the country..maybe try other sites along the Panonian site...might be Szeged, Eger, Tokany (if you were speaking about the wine)...and also the culture and yes of course how beautiful Hungarian women are, or the "huszar's"... the list goes on...good luck ;)
