Dr. Jamnadas, you are an Angel. I just want to say THANK YOU! for sharing your knowledge to the world. I am a 56 year old woman and looks like I am in my late 20s, early 30s. Which could be great and not so great when it comes to young men who I could be their parent. I always have to show proof of my age. For those of you who are reading my comments. FASTING is the way to go. I am a Muslim and my family and I Ramadan every December and eat one meal a day. It was very hard at first but trust me your body does get use to it. Have Blessed and Peace Life.

Thank you so much Dr. Jamnadas, I'm South Asian, and 3 years of working in the city, long hours, modern diet, and sedentary lifestyle and ignoring my health for career made me gain 30kgs. I went from 78kg to 113kg. Took me 2 years with 6-7 hours of cycling on the weekends, gym 4 times a week to cut the weight and start getting back in shape. Took me a lot of hard work to drop about 28kgs, and saw 85kg on the scale. But I just couldn't keep to that weight and I would shoot back to 90kgs withing 10days if I missed working out because of work or if had to travel for work.
It's only been the last year since I got to your channel, along with Dr Lustig. Since then I've been watching my diet and the foods that I eat and starting fasting for one a day a week, and now it's much easier to stay in shape, and keep in good health. I've been holding my weight under 83kg, without excessive workouts, just by listening to your advice and making lifestyle changes.
You've made me your lifelong follower !! Hope I can learn more and keep to a good and healthy diet.

This is amazing! Scary as well. I'm Southeast Asian (Filipino) and our diet is not far from yours. I'm 57 and have a repaired ASD diagnosed when I was pregnant with my second daughter. She's now 19. I feel fortunate that I accidentally found your site and am determined to make this lifestyle change. Thank you so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge!

I work in the NHS and have been fortunate to work with many doctors from the Indian sub continent . Getting type 2 diabetes and then proceeding to cardiac by pass just sadly seems to be a rite of passage amongst them - even though they don't drink much alcohol and the younger ones don't smoke . Even more obviously is that they are not obese . If pre diabetes is as risky as type 2 then we urgently need insulin level screening .

Dr Jamnadas- thank you for uploading this talk. I have shared this with many of my relatives. I was born in Sri Lanka but living in Australia since the age of 11. I just turned 60. Non smoker, non drinker.5 years ago I changed my eating to whole foods Plant Based and no oil, sugar and oil (mostly compliant but occasionally giving in to sugar). Lost 15 kg. Now within BMI for my height. Coronary Calcium score of 3140! Angiogram showed 3 major blockages 95-100%. I was referred to have a triple bypass immediately. I have recovered well but understand the importance of nutrition to keep this all under control. Thank you so much for the work you are doing Doctor to share your knowledge.

I'm so glad this channel came up in my suggestions. My Dad suffered a rather serious aortic dissection two years ago so it's good to have this information! Preventative medicine is highly underrated.

I will fall short in thanking you enough for being so passionately keen in making people's lives better. In my small ways of thinking, I consider your role play as really akin to saying that: "Ah! I lived my life with a purpose". You indeed are living a purposeful life as Man on a Mission!
Thanks for your philanthropy.
