If people didn't realize that the flashlight button is to turn it on, how the hell are you guys turning it on, that's literally the only way I used to do it when I had an iPhone

"hospital" comes from the French "l'hopital", which comes from the Latin "hospes", which means stranger, foreigner, or guest. The more you know....

FACT CHECK:

Hospital is not an acronym. Is is derived from the Latin word “Hospes”.

Hospital doesn’t stand for that…. It’s a Latin derivative, that’s how we get other words like hospitality and how other languages have a close spelling

Hospital is a word with Latin roots. It came to English by French. The original word was hospe, wich means guest and is the same root of Hotel. It has nothing to do with an English acronym because isn't originally an English word.

As a Samsung user, the flashlight lines just get bigger

Hospital doesn't stand for anything, it's not an acronym, it's just a word we took from Norman which is ultimately derived from Latin

You're actually batting about 50% there, lol. Hospital does not stand for that, and the hole in the pot handle is not for ladles, it's for hooks.

It's not called candy corn because it looks like corn when stacked, it's just GENERALLY the shape of corn

Hospital comes from Latin and that's why in almost all other European languages sound the same (Italian Ospedale, French Hopital, Polish Szpital....). It comes from the word "guest" that's why from the same root you have "hospitality". Because Hospitals were the first places where patients were able to stay over night or longer to have treatments

Hospital is NOT an acronym. It's from the Latin word "hospes, " which generally means "a guest or visitor, " or "one who entertains guests."

Its called candy corn because it looks like corn kernels. No need to complicate with, the stacking up thing.

The hole on pots is not ‘for putting spoons in’, it’s for hanging them, people just found a great second use for it.

Actually HOSPITAL does not stand for Home Of Sick People Including Treatment And Labor, it comes from the Latin word Hospes OR Hospitium meaning hospitality, shelterer, etc.

The hole in the pot handle is actually used for hanging your pots on a rack
