Apply the product in small sections thoroughly. This will allow saturation to every strand to enhance the curl and the curl pattern. Use a diffuser to dry the style and mist with a hair oil. You should always start with a damp/wet head for enhanced curls. When the hair is wet the bonds are not broken but yet resets when wet. When the hair is dry it's set. I hope this helps!!! ❤️ I have the same curl pattern as you. Try hot oil. Get some pure castor oil at target. Put 1/8 cup in a bowl, microwave it until its warm, not too not. Coat your hair with it, concentrating on the ends. Wrap your hair in seran warp or plastic bag and sit for about an hour. 30 mins works well too. Take a shower and use 1/2 the shampoo you normally would to wash it out. No conditioner unless you washed too much. You want some of the oil to stay. Your hair should be pretty moisturized at this point. Wrap your hair in a towel for about 4 minutes THEN put Vaseline cocoa butter lotion in as a leave in conditioner. Comb your hair with wide toothed comb to define the curls and add style cream. This method is my best most vetted beauty routine and I swear by it. The more product you put the more moisturized your hair will be for longer. If you Wrap your hair at night, even better results. If you do this right you just have to wet your hair in the AM and the remaining product brings your hair back to life as if you just did it! And no build up! God Bless! ❤️

Gonna give you tip that my daughter gave me when we both went natural and we both have curly hair as well. Don’t shampoo your hair. I only shampoo once a week. She never shampoos. Instead we just co wash with a rinse out conditioner and I found that my hair doesn’t get as dry. It doesn’t feel squeaky clean like after a shampoo but it also doesn’t get so dry. Just a tip, beautiful. Hopefully it will help.

Hi Stella! Try sectioning your hair and “raking” the product through your soaking wet hair. I feel your technique causes frizz . Once you get done with products. Scrunch out excess product with a tshirt .

Also try one product and a gel. It could be a leave in and a slightly heavier gel or a cream and a light gel. Literally all you need! ❤

Also a great tip for dry hair, find a nice clarifying detox shampoo to really get product build up and possible mineral deposit from hard water off your hair. Don’t be afraid to shampoo the actual hair too not just scalp. then yes def apply all products on soaking wet hair. I find doing a quick 10 min deep conditioning treatment to work wonders as well. Stella NO NO NO NO....The water doesn't allow your hair to absorb the product as much. You don't want it bone dry either. After the shower super lightly dry the ends with a microfiber towel for a few seconds once only. Don't use a lot of force, and they don't have to be super dry, then let your hair air dry for 10-20 min, after this go in detangle and then apply your product and style...If you find it's a bit to dry you can always wet your comb or brush to re-wet the hair before you apply product. I used to apply product with soaking wet hair...and my hair was always a dry, after, and the curls were undefined...I started doing what I told you for my post shower styling I came out with magnificent
