Trump rally shooting: Who was the gunman? | DW News

Former President Donald Trump has been wounded in what the FBI is calling an assassination attempt. Trump was addressing a campaign rally in Pennsylvania when the shots were fired. Soon after security personnel confirmed that the coast was clear, they brought a bloodied Trump back up to his feet to lead him away to safety. Trump raised his fist in the air shouting the word "fight." That evoked a surge of cheers from his supporters. Now the Secret Service says they killed the suspected shooter. The FBI is identifying him as a 20-year-old man from Pennsylvania.

If you watch the whole interview with the eyewitness, the reporter asks him if he thought the police could see the shooter he was pointing it, and he said, “Probably not, because of the angle of the roof.” But that exchange keeps getting cut off of the clips, which makes it sound like the police were just dragging their feet or worse.
