In my opinion I would still go for a Pixel 2XL in 2023. Bought mine used last year and it has been amazing! I've replaced the back and the screen, and the repair was a breeze (Also, the parts for this phone are cheap. The screen is only 20 Euro). Besides that, the guys that develop LineageOS have already ported Android 13 to this phone, which makes it able to rival modern phones, even in terms of performance, and all that for the price of around 100 Euro for a 128GB one, which is the price I got mine for.

I just found my old Pixel 2 XL abou an hour ago. Charged it and placed the sim chip in, love it. In fact I like it more that my current Samsung 22. Think I might use it for a while.

I have a Pixel 7 pro and I've had a pixel 6, Pixel 4a5g and Pixel 2xl. I can say that pixel 2xl is the phone that I've enjoyed the most

Its still an excellenent device in 2023/24 after upgrading to LineageOS 20 (Android 13).

I use as second device alongside S23U. Happily hand to kids when needed instead of my main device. Still pretty nippy. Nice big screen an battery performance.

I don't have the pixel 2 xl I have the normal pixel 2. It runs pretty good, all I need to do is get the battery replaced cause it's bad 🤣. It is 2 os updates behind but it's still good to use

I'm sorry brother I had to turn your review off because you're not reviewing this phone by the reality of what it was when it came out it was hands-down the best camera in the world at the time barnone it wasn't even close compared to other cameras it was so much better than everything else as far as just snapping pictures even the APK you could download was better than other cameras nobody downloads a Samsung or an apple APK to their phone why they do it for the pixel because it has the better camera and I don't even own pixels the only ever had was the pixel 6 that's why the pixel 7 pro just got raided the best smartphone camera

I use it as a second phone and still love it, the battery performs better than the one on board of the Pixel 7 Pro 😐 By the way, may I ask if you experienced an excessive battery drain in idle on the latter? I followed all the tips in order to save battery and now I'm starting to notice small improvements, but it still consumes too much, I hope the future updates will fix the issue, it's such a great phone otherwise! Sorry for the OT question, but I'd like to know your thoughts about it. Thank you in advance 🙏

What are you talkin about the pixel 3 wasn't considered a good camera it was hands-down considered the best camera on the market the pixel was every year up until like the five it was considered the best camera every year did you forget that quick I'm not saying that it was but I'm saying all the reviewers and all the big tech reviewers would tell you that the pixel had the best camera barnone and I'm here to tell you it probably did on just regular snaps because I would download that APK in the pictures were almost always better from that and they were all the other flagships that I had and I had all the great Samsung phones and all the great LG phones of the day

I use pixel 2 xl as my second phone. S22 ultra is my daily driver.
I have to say that this pixel phone still takes better pictures than s22 ultra in few cases.
Overall, it still has great camera and display. The only downside is no more update of Android OS.
