Joe's back again and this week it's all about England! The international break has arrived and now it's time for two things. Firstly and most importantly praying to the injury gods that none of your clubs most crucial players don't pick up a knock & secondly to see who's going to cut the mustard and make it to the World Cup squad in Qatar!

There's already been plenty of controversy amongst Southgate's squad selection such as Harry Maguire making the squad whilst Ben White misses out, but it really is last chance saloon for some members of the squad who aren't in the best of form.

Joe goes through an extensive list of players to show you who he'd take to World Cup 2022 in November and who shouldn't make it!

Let us know if you agree or disagree with any selections in the comments below!

Imagine if you are a center back and you're playing solid every week, in great form and you realise no matter how good you play, or how bad Maguire plays, he will still get picked ahead of you. It's fucked up considering Southgate has previously dropped players for not playing regularly but that's double standards i guess..

Trent will be vital in games where we need to break down teams who just sit back

Knowing southgate he'll include Maguire and Shaw in the world cup squad

Thoughts on Southgate saying you can’t win a World Cup with players who have 3 or 4 caps as justification for picking maguire when he’s the one who refuses to pick and then play these less experienced and better players, which is why they have barely any caps?

As a Liverpool fan, I couldn't agree more In regards of Trent, ridiculously talented. But the lack of awareness defensively is poor

IMO I’d only take 1 of Coady, Maguire and Dier to take Trent, Reece and Walker. If we go to a 3 at the back I’d feel much better with James or Walker in the back 3 than any of those center backs. My best back 5 would be Chilwell Tomori, Stones, James, Trent

I just don’t know how Maddison can do as much as he is in a pretty chaotic team right now and still not get in the team. We picked 12 defenders and 5 midfielders for this Nations League ffs there’s room for him

I expect Trent to vastly improve after the international break, I don’t really like England but I love Trent and I hope he goes to the World Cup and has a very good season

My guy chose Kyle Walker over Reece James

Loved the video, however I believe you should've had a "one for the future" category. A lot of the "in trouble" category don't really make sense being there but I understand why they got lumped in there

If it were me, Trent has to go, even if it means playing him a bit further forward where his defensive positioning won't get called on as often

Maddison, Sancho, Tomori, Bellingham just make sure we take them. Toney too I think he'd tear the place up.

Tomori is England's best Centre back

it's amazing how many people feel unsure about England's defenders when they have Stones, Tomori, Ben White, and fullbacks like Walker or Reece or Shaw that can slot into a back 3 no problem. Southgate's favoritism has people's heads all over the place, the defense is gonna be the strong point of the team.

I was the staunchest defender of southgate. When England threw away the match against Italy in the final, or when he threw two teenagers out there for penalty duties, and he was rightfully criticized, I felt he deserved a chance to grow with the team. After all, he was already our second most successful England manager in history. But a year on now, England have regressed. It seems like we will struggle to even get to quarter finals. And the fact that he stuck with Maguire who has had a terrible two years and isn’t even starting for his club, or the fact that he thinks there’s merit to pick four right backs/wingbacks… that tells me that he isn’t the leader we hope he will become. He is clearly choosing status over merits. It is a managers job to make tough choices. Italy had Totti and Del Piero in the same tea, for a decade. They tried to play them together but in the end Lippi decided to pick one over the other and won a World Cup. That’s the kind of leadership and vision we need. We can only pick 20 outfield players… someone is bound to be disappointed. Tough choices are needed

Trent will go just cause- can play walker on right side in a three at the back- james could play right back-if shit really hit the fan in terms of injuries you can put trent in midfield

My god England are so screwed under Southgate. We need a better manager that just has an ounce of technical ability

Just leave Southgate behind and take the players please that will be a good start 👏

Southgate will take 3 RBs to the WC because he's gonna play Kyle walker in a back 3 and needs options in case of injury
