That last sentence "The feedback that you get can wreck you if you don't have an internal sense of what's good or bad". This was the cause of a depression about 6-7 years ago. Took me a long time to get myself back on my feet. Since then I learned to evaluate things more objectively.

here‘s how I handle it: when the feedback comes in, and it‘s a major change, I treat the feedback like it was my own idea. this way it‘s much easier to implement it.
