This is the scariest thing I've ever seen

Underwhelming. I was expecting interdimensional bookshelf and love calculations.

I've been thinking, from an outside perspective, you would never actually reach the event horizon: you would stop just at the edge, then fade out slowly. Since time "runs" faster when you're inside a powerful gravity field (think Interstellar and the planet around the black hole).
Does this mean that if you were looking back when falling into the black hole, would you see the next million or billion years of the universe in an instant? Like could you see the end of the universe before you got ripped apart by tidal forces?

Event Horizon (1997) "Where we're going we don't need eyes"

For anyone wondering it's a free program called 'Space Engine'. Gives you an entire procedurally generated universe with some added real systems like SOL and what not.

Yeah that's Space Engine. It's great, but it doesn't simulate the sky background when you're near the black hole. It's supposed to crush!

I think it may be a rather unpleasant ride. Unless I'm mistaken, as you approach the event horizon the gravitational force becomes so intense that one end of your body would accelerate faster than the other, ripping you apart. On the other hand, that ripping would take place over a very short period of time: probably a small fraction of a second.

This is honestly interesting but scary.

Why is it more scary than all horror movies

This is terrifying, entering into such a object is utterly incomprehensible. It leaves you with the last chance of seeing and experiencing anything ever again.
