I knew a bit about neutron stars, but I certainly didn't expect such weird light-bending effects, especially to its sky and its surface! It's amazing that you can see the entire surface front-to-back.
Another fun fact: the various layers of matter within a neutron star arrange themselves into shapes similar to various pasta noodles, from gnocchi to spaghetti to lasagna, which is why it's also called "Nuclear Pasta". It hasn't been observed directly aside from theoretical math formulas, but if it does indeed exist, nuclear pasta would be the strongest material in the universe.

That Neutron Star surface is so fucking cool

Typically, most of an atom's volume is empty space; in a Neutron Star, the intense gravity has crushed all the particles down to where there's no space in between. That's why a teaspoon of matter would weigh as much as a mountain, because if you crushed a mountain down to the point that all the particles were touching, it'd be a teaspoon.
