When I woke up this morning I didn't think I'd be listening to Eck talk about totalitarian dogs in a kids film, but I'm here for it.

The craziest part is that this video can be both complete parody but also nothing Eck says is technically wrong.

If you look closely, the mayor is saving cats, cats are considered independent while dogs are considered obedient. They want obedience over independence.

It's truly amazing how Ryder uses the pups' PTSD to control them. They also recieve no compensation for their work. Ryder raises all of these funds and hoards it to himself. Truly devious.

This pairs nicely with Game Theory's talk about how the PP dogs are specially picked by the kid because they have no family, will make perfect soldiers, and when they die there's no one to miss them so the kid can just go kidnap another puppy to fill the role .

For real, the scene where Ryder is telling Chase that he isn't part of the team was really screwed up. The pup pretty much begged not to go back to the city and when Ryder didn't get the results he wanted from him, Chase was made to feel inferior.

This was a super interesting reminder how easily the perception of something can be flipped. My knowledge of paw patrol is zero, so I’ve no reason to disagree unless I look into it myself. And that’s the root of so many issues problems of the world today. Wild how you made such a good point subtly, with a paw patrol video at that.
