"Braves infielder Travis Fryman lays down a bunt in the 12th inning of the 1998 ALCS"

Impressive feat considering that the Braves played in the National League by this point in time.

Travis Fryman also never played for the Braves. He did, however, play third base for the Cleveland Indians in the 1998 season.

Off to a stunning start on this one.

This list could have been a highlight reel of Angel Hernandez and been equally effective

Jim Joyce earned massive respect from baseball fans the day AFTER the call. He completely owned that mistake.

Correction: At #10, that was an ALCS game against the INDIANS, not the BRAVES.

I've always felt bad for Bill Buckner, he had a really good career and was even known as an above average defensive player. But he's forever remembered for having arguably the most poorly timed error in history.

Galarraga is in his own category now. He's the only pitcher ever to throw a 28-out perfect game.

How the hell does one eff up the Atlanta Braves for the Cleveland Indians (#10)? I mean, seriously, that's an easy check on literally every single baseball resource ever.

That Todd Helton play is so far off its almost hard to believe. Like a magic trick. It worked. Was fun to watch. Great video

Galarragas perfect game blown call was worse the Heltons call because dude worked his ass off and got cheated on a nice play. Really wasnt that close. He really earned that.

I would put Don Denkinger's call in the 1985 World Series on this list, especially if we're doing missed umpire calls.

*#1 - Enrico Palazzo makes a bunch of bad calls as umpire*

Worst mistake is WatchMojo confusing teams for #10. As a Twins fan, I don't remember them playing Cleveland for the 1991 World Series championship, since both are in the AL.

I remember actually feeling bad for jim Joyce when he blow that perfect game last out. Everyone on the tigers was roasting and screaming at him after the game was over and the whole stadium saw on replay that he blew the call. He felt terrible about it. The only person not giving him shit was the pitcher who would’ve had the perfect game, he just kinda laughed in the moment. The next day galaraga (the pitcher who would’ve had the perfect game)handed the lineup card for the team before the game to that umpire who was behind home plate that day. And Jim Joyce with tears in his eyes told him how sorry he was. And galaraga said, “hey, no one is perfect.” It was like a line from a movie or something.

Totally left out the fact that the whole craig-baez thing never would have happened if craig had just touched first for the force. He had no reason to be chasing baez at all, that was the whole blunder

At no.10 Yankees were playing the Indians in the 98 ALCS, not the Braves.

Bill Buckner was comically reprieved at the end of Curb Your Enthusiasm episode Mr. Softee. Even Mookie Wilson was in there briefly and Bill Buckner assured Larry David, ‘he owes me one’😂😂

It’s Grover Cleveland Alexander. His nick name was “Old Pete” but that wasn’t his name. Also it’s Jon Miller who called Ruben Rivera’s horrendous base running, not Jim.
