I don’t like crony capitalism. I don’t like the push to electric vehicles. I don’t like WOKE communists either. I like motorcycles and it doesn’t have to be a Harley Davidson.

Here’s a thought, if Harley’s one day become all EV, then, what’s the point in owning a Harley????
Harley’s stand out due to their feel, sound & looks. The motor vibration/ feeling is everything. If that’s lost, then why buy a Harley EV MC over a competitor?

Don’t want an EV. All for the option of an EV for whoever does, but no way should the government be pushing business decisions more than the buyer.

Tons of EV’s here in California but the problems are many. Lack of charging stations. Vandalism of charging stations. Combined with Californias de carbonization and closing of natural gas power plants. There is a huge lack of energy production. This is even more of problem with AI coming on line which requires huge amounts of electricity to operate.
So basically the infrastructure is not in place to support all EV. The infrastructure needs to be developed 1st. Then HD can roll out the SOYGLIDE the E bagger.

Who's going to buy them? If I have to stop my bike every 100 miles and wait 70 mins for it to charge before I can ride again. Screw that that will ruin your whole day. And no engine to hear rumble when you twist the throttle. They seem to not even understand why we ride.

Not Mad about the fact that Harley got the money, but what I am unhappy about is flushing GOOD money after bad money for EV motorbikes that literally NO ONE wants, NO ONE wants an electric motorbike that lives outside of a METRO area. It is a purely CITY BIKE.

The US has many issues with the Electric grid, but most of it is an issue with it being too distributed between many small companies. If they had State run or Federal Regional controlled power companies it would be able to easily produce and distribute electricity demand throughout the country.

Central Planning has never worked... Remember how many warehouses the Soviets had full of shoes when they collapsed... Vic electric bike didn't sell Indian has them but for kids market... The inventory of battery cars are over 120 days. Ohh Well..

I'm sure company's like HD has a department who's job it is to go and seek out grant money or loopholes to take advantage over.

I read that HD is moving all the jobs from York to Milwaukee now that they got the grant and are closing the York plant

If you live in NYC, L.A. Chicago Detroit, or Dallas you should have an EV Bike. It's only for big city riding!

CA and FL are looking at registration fees based on mileage because they lost the gas tax.

Change is difficult. Fossil fuels are not an infinite resource of energy. Having said that I’m not a fan of electric bikes but as society grows the question is, “Can we sustain our lifestyle with one resource of energy being fossil fuel?” At the moment we can but future generations may not.

Registration is more expensive because they a recouping some of this money for road repairs because they do t pay gas taxes for roads.

H-D is playing a bit with the words, they are probably including all Serial 1 e-bikes as well as the Livewires. It is still under H-D control.

Harley's management has done a miserable job. This has been coming for thirty years. Their products are like a Mexican restaurant, same ingredients with different names.
