I feel AI is like a hammer. When you know how to use it you can do amazing things, but it can also be a weapon. Most of us are children when it comes to understanding advanced technology and I am concerned about the damage we will do before we learn.

There really is the need for some regulations here, for example it should be mandatory to label it as AI-generated.

Scares the sh*t out of me. I don't think people get how terrifying this is. Especially those who have not only plastered their faces & lives all over the internet for the last 25 years, but also their kids! Sickos can make child pornography with your childs face!!! I'm so glad I never put my kids or myself online! Finally, one of my 'quirks' has paid off!

Definitely terrifying. Thought misinformation was bad before? Just wait. I am convinced more than ever we all need to get off our devices and touch grass. It's going to become a situation where I won't believe what I see online anymore and I'll want to see it in person, yikes

Feels like critical thinking and going out and socializing with a variety of people is needed more than ever so that we don't get sucked into an AI vacuum.

Is there any practical use to this other than the "cool" factor and companies using this instead of hiring actual human artists so that they can make more money? Is the uses of this bigger than the harm this may cause? I don't think its worth it at all. It will be so easy to spread misinformation using this that people will start to not believe actual real stuff.

The thing is, it's not just created from written text. The AI gets images from somewhere else. The countless source materials were made by actual humans. Those many many source images and videos show actual humans.

All those actual individuals and their personal and effortful work is being ground to an anonymous pulp by AIs and the people using those AIs.

The examples shown are harmless enough, but I can imagine how it could be used for nefarious purposes.

My main concern is jobs. No need for actors, no need for directors, camera operators, costume designers, set designers, sound design, sound technicians, etc. Etc. Etc. This will save production companies a fortune on paying for skilled labour and will be exploited as a means to cut costs.

My issue is I don’t see any actual use case for this that isn’t lame and kind of a novelty, or something insidious. We need to ban AI or heavily restrict it now more than ever :/

This will make all the more difficult to filter the fakes about important news, and political types will have a field day.

Facts. Even our phones would be considered terrifying because if the people from back then knew about how much data they collect from us and the consequences, they would feel the exact same way of fear. We just need good regulations and extra security

Terrifying. it needs to be outlawed for normal use and regulated this is going to hurt so many jobs and people's lives.
