This is why in yoga it is said time and again- sthiram sukham asanam. This is the best way to do a yoga pose. No need to rush things.

He is talking about the surya namaskars that are done multiple times at a row without even feeling the breath! That's why in yoga it is said, "har ek saans ki avriti ko mehsus kijiye". Because most of the 108, 21, 51 and all the suryanamaskars are a modern concept mostly by gyms and non-yoga exercises. They do it without even feeling anything and don't even breathe, and just do it for the sake of finishing a fixed target. And people are salty about it because he called that out. Remember, yoga was there for 1000s of years, and yoga asanas are never rushed, always done with a good time interval.
I have been associated with Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan they suggest, for a maximum of 1 minute for every asan in Surya namaskar!

I have done 108 Surya namaskars for 2 days then rest then continue for another 2 days. What I have learned, from a personal perspective, is that your body should be prepared to hit such milestone. I still do Surya namaskar daily and but I have changed from 108 - 50 to 30 suryanamaskar with the mantras and concentrated breathing. I have found my body is more relaxed and my mind more at ease when I do 30 suryanamaskar but reaching the 108 milestone is also a must for everybody. 🙏🙏

I do 108 suryanamaskaram for 2 days recently, but i take break in between i drink sip of water and then continue, i tell you i feel more refresh whole day, even im continue doing 108 suryanamaskaram, there is no harm, it was better than high core exercises, even i have knee pain i can do it easily, so go for it ❤ but feel the every seteps you do ❤ that gives you more power to go forward ✨

sir you are absolutely right 108 surya namaskar is a big blunder!!! actually i m a good swimmer and used to be a gym freak, also learned kick boxing !!! but 108 surya namaskar is super tiring i did it for 7 days and stopped !!! would have fallen sick i only do 24 surya namaskar in morning that's enough for me and do some pranayama and omkar .

Bilkul sahi ajkal surya namaskar ko ek cardio exercise ke roop me dekha jata h. Lekin yog sirf sharirk exercise nahi balki aatma ko parmatma se milane ka ek zariya h. Lekin logo ne aaj ise sharir ko aakarshak banane ka zariya bana liya hai.
