I love that little blues you used to demo!

You can keep the effects when you change pianos: Menu/General/System/Control Panel/Effect on/off reset. Reading the manual might be a good idea!..the pianos come alive with the damper resonance effect turned on depth and rate… I like depth 30 rate 13.

Thanks Woody, it's helpful to hear what this has to offer. They sound pretty good to me! And I like some of the blues comping you were doing and have picked up some nice ideas, so thanks for showing the keyboard nice and clearly 🙂 Best wishes

This is a fabulous keyboard I believe. The layout is so simple and intuitive and gives rise and easy access to editing everything that’s important to live keyboard player. The mic preamp is very good, even with a low-level SM 58 plugged in, and the compressor is a massive help on vocals, with reverb. When I plug my electric guitar into it, the driving distortion sounds are pretty awful. I was hoping that I could use my iPad to create decent am simulation, but Yamaha refused to mute the input Guitar signal when I try this.. The organs are much improved when you use rotary B effect, the rotary A is weak

That piano blues you use for the demo got me interested.

I just bought the CK61. I have a stage 4 but it’s heavy to carry. The 61 is so much easier and it certainly does the job on the Hammond, Rhaodes and Wurlitzer. The Pianos are Ok, too,

Thanks again for a wonderful demo. I have a MODX61...Are there sounds in this that are better...Organ & Eps maybe? Or would I just get a portable Stage Piano?

I've watched several videos from yours and others regarding the CK88. It might be just me but the sounds are a bit thin for my liking than that of the YC and even an MX88 or CP

Thanks, What is the “initialization” for?

The main critisizm on the CK is that they sound thin. I also notice that in various videos. The CP-series sound a lot thicker.

I cannot imagine, as a former vocal/piano bar giggerm what else I might need. Hmm, I just bought one.

You demo’d all the pianos without using the sustain pedal which is missing out so much important info. Especially when the resonance effect is so important. Apply it…and the pianos come to life…

the mono pianos sound like they combined both sides of a stereo instead of a mono sample.

Oh.. I was hoping you'd go through the rest of the effects. Pity.
