Albuquerque New Mexico Drive Tour | Ride Along

I would consider living in Albuquerque New Mexico. From the moment I drove into Albuquerque I felt a sense of peace and at ease. I couldn't quite explain the feeling but what meant to be a pass through trip ended up being a week long stay. If I didn't have a final destination out west I would have stayed longer.

One of the best views were the ballon tours in the sky as I drove around. The video doesn't do it enough justice but it was such a beautiful morning.

I enjoyed this drive and I hope you enjoy seeing the city.

That sense and peace and ease is a part of New Mexico "The Land of Enchantment." Albuquerque is home. I left in my early 20's back in 1994. I live in San Diego and I wish I could go back home, but unfortunately Albuquerque and the state are filled with crime, drugs, poverty, and lack of jobs. Surprisingly, Albuquerque is one of the most dangerous cities in the United States. You'll find out if you conduct more extensive research.

I miss the culture, art, history, historical architecture, natural beauty, nice weather, delicious food, and overall character and identity. Even though I'm proud to say I was born in that unique city and state, the cons outweigh the pros to move back unfortunately. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit though. New Mexico is a very spiritual place.

I moved here with intention of staying 2-3 years before transferring to Colorado. I ended up buying a house in the city after only a year. I'm going to be here for a lot longer than I had initially planned. The city's relatively low COL (for now, the real estate market is freaking crazy here despite the crime problem and it's not slowing down), good food, scenery and decent weather offers an unbeatable bang for my buck. Sure there is a crime problem mostly petty property crime, but you know what? I grew up in LA, the crime here is typical of American cities everywhere, it's part of the urban package.
