Kinda funny that this is one of the few instances they followed the game 1 to 1. The story does a lot of "what ifs" to the storyline, like what if Emil was the one who turned Pascal into a pacifist, or what if Eve died instead of Adam, or what if Anemone died instead of Lily and she became the Resistance leader instead. Seeing references to supplementary material outside of the game was neat too. Also the references to Nier Replicant and Drakengard were great.

Episode 4 looked even better than the original game. It was great.

this is genuinely one of the first Open World (still pretty linear but it's good) games to get an Anime adaptation that's going very well

Idk if anyone else noticed but the first few lines 2b says at the very beginning of ep1 was basically the weapon story for virtuous contract

Proof that if the shot was great in the original, don't change it. Just make a 1:1 recreation. Too often when something is remade or adapted the new creative team will try to put their own spin on something.

Just play the game it’s better. I watched the 1st episode after finishing the game and it was awful the fight was horribly done and it feels like a worse version of the game

I didn’t know this had an anime to it. I recently started playing it yesterday and it’s a lot of fun. (I don’t play a lot of games)

All i noticed was that there isn't constant fog around engels which mutes the colors for no reason. They really did the game justice with the visuals and i like it.

The boss fight is straight out of nier: automata.
