While this style is not not my cup of tea, I enjoyed this video. My teenage self would have loved this style. I was always collecting shells from the beach.

I prefer the coastal more relaxed themes, they seem to be more doable than say the bubblegum? 😬elements.

This reminds me of some of the old Hollywood star homes that were quite garish and overwhelming from the 1950s. Jayne Mansfields home comes to mind.

I had never heard of Mermaidcore, so I learned a lot. There is a plant called String of Dolphins that would fit the theme!

Those are portuguese tiles😮 white and blue, the ancient ones with illustrations, are typical from Portugal.
Portugal is quite connected to the sea, so it makes sense.

In case taking care of an aquarium is daunting, there are aquarium screen savers that your computer can generate, and they look very believably 3D. I have a friend who is obsessed with merfolk, and he uses this kind of screen saver to decorate and light his room at night. It's very calming.
