This is the sorry dilemma for cyclists training in countries like Colombia...The only good roads, good for road cycling that is, are also the most heavily trafficked, and the drivers are all too often totally undisciplined, and downright idiotic. Ironically, these countries are also probably chock full of young people with huge potential as endurance athletes...better probably that they stick with running and staying off the roads, or go into off-road cycling but plenty of dangers there too.
