It’s just a random symbiote. It had been said in the movie that Patrick’s previous symbiote left him and that they had given him one of their symbiotes to keep him alive. Lasher is later shown but bonded with Sadie. The one with Patrick was never named and was only for plot convenience and then killed off.

As much as I don’t want it the green symbiote to be Toxin (because Toxin is red and black in the comics), I think that unfortunately, Sony has chosen to make his colour scheme green.

Maybe it is toxin but starts off green but will be getting red and black which is his outside and his inside and tongue is green. He will become red and black in a minute after the symbiote shapeshifts. Could be lasher and lol they might be making it more secret to the character so we won’t see until theatres 😂🤣

Lasher was Red and Green in "Extreme Carnage" When Carnage had an influence over him as well as Phage, Riot, Agony, & Scream. Its a great read and stars Agent AntiVenom and Toxin who had been recently resurrected during Knull's wake. 🤓

The reason why they team up is because venom has the key which no symbiotes have it it's called "codex" the green symbiote is the wisdom symbiote that sees future
And venom has the same intelligence to toxin, but venom can't see future therefore he may not be see future but he has the codex and his passive that he can bond anything and he has no weapon but he has strength and defense.

It's not Toxin, it's mentioned offhand that the symbiote that bonded to Mulligan at the end of Venom 2 left his body and was dying, so this green symbiote is one of the precaptured ones

In the Post credits of venom 2 we saw the guy alive at the church where venom and carnage fighted with green eyes so it is pretty clear he got that sympiot from carnage or venom idk
