The best upgrade for the non vvti 2JZGE engine is this Dual Cam & Crank triggering kit that will essentially transform your GE into a GTE. This will remove the old distributor and allow you to time the engine properly to run Coil on plug kits and aftermarket ECU's with the Base Maps from a 2JZGTE. You can also simply plug in a GTE ECU and start the car.

The kit is FULL PLUG N PLAY and can be installed with the engine remaining in the car.

The biggest thing about this is removing the need to weld in the sensors, it was the main thing putting me off going NAT on my GE, amazing to have you back and I hope you’re still around by the time I’ve saved up enough money 😂

I recently purchased this kit and it is top notch quality! I also am building a ge as a winter project so i am taking things slow and making sure its done correctly. If i made any changes to this kit it would be to extend the cop wires about an extra 12 inches to the back of the ecu connector. I may have to cut my firewall to make them work or extend the wires 12 inches or so. Thanks for your time and innovation!!

Will definitely be ordering both kits soon for my USDM 97 SC300.
One quick question... can I run the stock GE ecu with this kit?
I do have a GTE ecu but was just wondering if we have this option as well.

just ordered the dual trigger, went with vvti oil pump mostly for piece of mind( TRUST oil cooler, na-t eventually, mk3 supra).
