This looks right up my alley. The gameplay seems chill and nice, and I always like a levelling system for some reason. The visuals seem simple and lovely too. I think this one is going to be a day one buy for me. Thanks for the review.

I bought this game because of this review, and it 100% did not disappoint! I love being able to explore at my own pace! Even finishing the main story, there are still so many cool little side quests which really reward players for taking the time to explore. I hope a lot of other people find and fall in love with this game!

Fantastic review Cody. The vibe of this game puts me in the mind of A Short Hike, though the structure and mechanics of that game are different. Your comment about having to navigate via landmarks is interesting. I suppose the developer really wants to put the player in the mindset of being there. Something that games can do quite well on occasion. Though I am particularly susceptible to that phenomenon. Back in the day, I even identified with the paddle in Pong

I liked "A Short Hike" because it does not make players feel like they are obligated to do tasks. The player actually want to do the tasks in order to seek closure on the many NPCs requests, within their players' abilities ala the real world.

I cannot say the same about "Haven Park" where players must grind for XP / SP to unlock new abilities from doing tasks just to keep NPCs happy like every other video games.

"Haven Park" aims to be "A Short Hike" first, with "Animal Crossing" added on top.
