Grammy mixing engineer 'SECRET Sauce' /// Jaycen Joshua Mix Bus Processing ( Ozone 9 )

In todays video I`m breaking down the mix bus processing chain used by Jaycen Joshua. The first time I saw him using this in Ozone 4 I was intrigued and after using this chain for a while I tried to reproduce it in Ozone 9. The is not so secret since he released screenshots with the settings on Instagram but I think more people need to try this out because it can really improve your mixes.

If you mix many beats downloaded from YouTube and harsh "homerecorded" vocals this is killer. I combine this with Virtual Slate Digital Tape and my own presets. It gives back the warmth you lost during Ozone processing. Just a touch and you don't have to do much lol. Thanks 2probeats for your knowledge

Your mixes sound clean, clear and powerful. What do you think of added Cranborne 500 ADAT to your rig to incorporate hardware/hybrid mixing?

I just watched his Mix With the Masters last week and did the same thing. I took so many screen shots and turned them to effects chains: parallel compression, widening, ad lib reverb, keyboard width, mix bus, lead vocal, etc. Sounds more professional now.
Your Ozone 9 dynamics looks so different to mine, how did you get that view?

Ozone 4 and 9 sound completely different. Jaycen even said that Izotope wanted to do a collaboration with him but couldn't replicate the algorithm of the older versions. Your best bet is to probably find a bootleg Ozone4 if you want that sound.

Mix sounds great!!! I like how your bass sits in the mix. Did you pan the sub left and right? It sounds wide to me. I have got to get better with my vocal mixing I am struggling.

I noticed some settings are different than what Jaycen shared on instagram.. Did I understood correctly that you have both O4 and O9, and tweaked O9 to sound as close to O4 preset as possible.. that means different ratios, attack and release times etc. ?
