First impression of the new Porsche 911 Carrera (992.2): Hype and skepticism!

The new #Porsche 992.2 #911Carrera is at the Porsche Center #Mannheim and first impressions are good. The design is even sharper, but of course there is something to complain about.

I only had my 2024 911 C4S for 4 months. Put 1, 300 miles on it. The amount of road noise coming into the cabin was a deal breaker. Giving me headaches and making my ears ring. If you don't mind a car with a ton of road noise this will work for you. I also have a 2022 Audi RS3 and I like driving that on long road trips much better. Since Porsche loves to offer options maybe they can offer a "noise insulation package." But I guess they will be admitting the car is noisy. The noise insulating glass option made the car more noisy and the glass was more fragile.

If you live in an area with smooth roads it might work for you.

The price makes it exclusive... not the quality anymore 😢😢

But the design is great as ever. No car in the world with such a recognizable design.

I am driving Porsche for 30 years now. But the quality is not always that good anymore.

And maintenance costs are becoming absurd

After 2 years wait and being convinced to put £15.000.00 deposit down to what was considered a master piece has now broken my confidence truly it is just like tge old one so I will be cancelling my order as we speak and I'm off to purchase the new Aston Martin DB12 - very annoyed but glad I've seen the light with a masterpiece of craftmanship

The GTS adaptive air intake looks absurd. This one is gorgeous.. Surely would buy this one against GTS, but I'll wait for the Carerra S for more power

Love the car. Would be “nicer” if it were AWD with front double wishbone suspension.

Cannot think I’d need more than that - thought my heart wishes for a manual GT3. 🤷🏽‍♂️
