Honestly touch I'd is one of the biggest reasons I can't transition off Android. It's just so useful where I don't have to look at my phone to unlock it.

You can add another face for Face ID if it doesn’t recognize you in new sunglasses. I didn’t do that and my iPhone gradually realized who I was after raising my glasses a dozen times.

Apple is just being stubborn with Touch ID. It’s on the Mini; there’s no good reason not to have it on an iPhone. People love it, it’s reliable, a nice back up/alternative to Face ID- bring it back. All iPhones/pads/macs should be uniform in this way.

I really hope they bring back Touch ID. That feature worked great on logging into apps rather than faceID or typing in the password. Miss Touch ID badly.

The fact that they still haven't put in an under screen fingerprint is hilarious to me cuz I know when they finally do they will make it seem like some crazy revolutionary feature 😂

Love Touch ID in the power button. Works flawlessly on the iPad Mini. Plus it’s perfect for 2 step authentication.

I prefer to have both.
But let’s be honest it’s the fastest and easiest unlock system without sacrificing safety on any smart phone ever.
It’s convenient too and brought a lot of potentials

But will you respond to exploding Samsung batteries? 😶

No point of a Touch ID on the power button. We use cases. On screen. Is what we want.

Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave … I’ll never buy another iPhone without Touch ID.

I'd switch brands before going to face ID. Im sticking with touch ID and if they stop coming out with SE that have touch ID when i need an upgrade, I'll be switching brands

I'm extremely satisfied with the fingersprint sensor on the S10e's power button, instant unlock everytime, so fast you don't even think about it.

Touch ID beneath the display would
Be best, not on a button

If their face ID could skip the lock screen just like on Android it would be a non issue for many users. The biggest thing I always found was that with the fingerprint scanner you went right to the home screen.

FaceID works with the Apple Watch as secondary authentication. You can also set your “alternative face” to one with sunglasses in.

It will be interesting to see if any of these prototype devices make it out in the open. I'd love to see if Apple ran into similar issues to Google and their under-display scanners not matching up with Samsungs reliability.

Fingerprint readers in power buttons are so good, it's weird they exclude it.

"I was wearing sunglasses so I had to unlock my phone with a passcode" is such a first world problem.

Touch I'd is better than face imo.

This makes perfect sense to me at least, Apple has recently been positioning Touch ID as the budget opinion on the iPhone SE's and none Pro iPads and such.

I’ve had the same issue with polarized sunglasses. Even with the watch setting on for mask. Because it needs you looking at the phone to unlock and somehow can’t see through polarized lenses
